I lost my access card. How do I get a replacement one?
Cards reported lost or stolen will be electronically deactivated and should be reported immediately. Additional cards may be ordered for $25 by contacting by email the Board boardofdirectorsvar@gmail.com.
I have brought guests to the pool but need to leave but they want to stay. Can my guests stay if I am not there?
No. Guests may only enter and remain at the pool if the homeowner is with them. Homeowners may not leave their guests at the pool. If the homeowner leaves, their guests must also leave the pool.
I am a renter and needs help obtaining my access card, etc. How can I get help?
Renters must contact the homeowner/management company to request a pool key card Elite is not authorized to speak directly to renters and cannot grant pool access to tenants.
I tried to go to the pool but my card would not allow me access?
First, check your Elite account. Accounts with past due balances are restricted from amenity access until the account is brought current.
My account is current, and my pool access card did not work. What should I do?
Please contact the Board boardofdirectorsvar@gmail.com to troubleshoot your issue. Access cards that are older or have been kept near microwaves, etc. can have issues.
I forgot my access card and/or identification. Can I still go to the pool?
If you do not have your access card and/or identification, you cannot enter the pool. You may leave your bags in the entryway and head back home to retrieve your forgotten items.
I don’t have my guest pass. Can my family and our guests still swim?
The attendant will not allow entry and direct you to retrieve your guest pass.
My neighbor is knocking on the door to come swim. May I let them in?
We ask that you do NOT open the door to residents/visitors that are unable to access the pool area on their own. The attendant can assist those that may be knocking to gain entry to the pool area.
My neighbor can’t find their pool access card. May I let them borrow mine?
Pool access cards should not be shared outside of your immediate family. Neighbors that lost their access card can contact the Board boardofdirectorsvar@gmail.com for assistance.
Can my caregiver take my kids to the pool?
The VAR does not have a babysitter pass. The person in care of the minors must provide an ID and need to provide the address of the children and the owner(s) names. If they cannot provide that information, they will not be allow entry.
My teenage children want to go swimming. Can they go alone?
Minors must be accompanied by an adult (18yr or older) if they are under the age of 16. They may not enter the pool without an adult. Children ages 16 and older may swim at the pool without adult supervision with an access card and valid ID. Please note that there are no lifeguards at the pool.
What are the responsibilities of the attendant?
Pool attendants:
- are not lifeguards, therefore we are a “swim at your own risk” facility
- are required to check ID’s for entry into the pool
- will not unlock or open the pool entry door for residents who do not bring or have a working pool access card
- are to regularly check pool water chemicals and may require users to exit the pool if necessary
- should regularly check and clean the restrooms
- will provide access to the Grill Area (a sign out sheet is required)
- may ask any user to leave the pool due to unruly behavior or may contact a board member or the police department for assistance
How do I request an additional guest pass?
You may purchase additional guest for $35 per pass (20 punches per pass) by email the Board at boardofdirectorsvar@gmail.com. The charge will be added to your HOA account via Elite. The attendants will NOT be able to provide passes on-site and will NOT be allowed to accept cash from residents.
A pool guest is acting inappropriately, what should I do?
Any guest should obey pool rules. If a guest is acting in such a way that there is concern for safety or a guest is acting in such a way that is disrupting other guests/families, their behavior should be reported to the attendant. If there is not attendant on duty, please send an email to the Board to report the issue. If the guest that seems hostile, inebriated, or in any other way abusive, call 911 to get immediate assistance prior to contacting the Board. Safety is the highest priority.
Kids in the pool are starting to play a bit rough and getting boisterous. What should I do?
Please report the issue to the attendant to address. If the attendant is not on duty, please contact the Board for assistance. We do not recommend addressing the child/family regarding the issue.
I noticed that a chair and/or lounger has a broken strap, what should I do?
Please report the issue to the attendant. If the attendant is not on duty, please place the chair/lounger by the office door if you can move it safely. If not, please send an email to the Board.
How do I access the grills?
Please access the attendant for assistance. There is a grill sign in sheet located in the office. There are also some grilling utensils. Owners must sign the book and the attendant (if on duty) may open the gate for access.
After grilling is finished and the coals cool down, please clean the grill for the next person’s use.
I want to have a party at the pool. Can I reserve space?
The Board has updated the pool reservation process and amenities for our community. You can request a reservation via the VAR Pool Party Reservation Request Form.
The $200 reservation includes:
- 3-hour party for up to 20 guests (plus host family)
- Use of the pool, showers, restrooms
- Access to grill area
- Access to playground
- Access to the office area (microwave, refrigerator, freezer)
- Reserved seating in covered area
- Cleaning supplies
