Board of Directors
The Board of Directors govern the community policy and procedures according to the current ByLaws and Declaration of Covenants. The legal documents dictate the rules and operations of our community. The Board may create or alter policy and procedures by Board member majority vote but cannot alter the ByLaws Declaration of Covenants without homeowner vote. The Board membership can be no more than 9 and no less than 3 volunteer homeowners. Members serve 3-year rotating terms and are typically voted in by the community at the annual meeting..
Bylaws are your organization’s operating manual. They define:
- Size of the board and how it will function
- Roles and duties of directors and officers
- Rules and procedures for holding meetings, electing directors, and appointing officers
- Conflict of interest policies and procedures
- Other essential governance matters
The Declaration of Covenants are the rules of our community. It is the legal document that defines the guidelines homeowners must adhere to in our neighborhood. They outline the rights and obligations of homeowners to the association.
